Come and See For Yourself

I would like to tell you a bit about my own life & personal experiences. I was born to parents who, about four years prior, had chosen to be missionaries & spread the good news of Jesus & His love wherever possible. When I came into their lives they took me along with them & saw to it that I was cared for & given the best education & training possible. I was reading at the age of two, a grade or two higher than most kids my age and was able to speak at least two or three languages.

I grew up with purpose in my life: a driving motivation to better the lives of those around me, friends & strangers alike. My parents & teachers taught me by their personal example to show kindness & love to everyone; young and old, rich and poor, friendly and unfriendly. Not all of my peers & friends took fancy to these ideals & by the time I needed to make my own choice for the direction of my life many of them were pursuing a lifestyle that was less beneficial to society.

I made my choice. I saw the freedoms some had in living only for themselves, but I also saw the effect others had on the countless people they meet, lives touched because someone took the time to give. I was hooked. What better way to spend my life than to wake up every morning & think of ways to make someone else’s life a bit better today? In the Family this is possible as all your co-workers have the same desire and all work together in order make it a reality.

The personal qualities that I have now which enable me to get along with almost anyone, and understand & accept cultures vastly different from my own, are a direct result of being raised in the extraordinary environment that only The Family can offer. I have had many job offers, some tempting, others not. But I have turned them all down as I was blessed enough to have found my purpose early on in life.

I wish to continue in my lifestyle of choice. A lifestyle that better enables me to help the needy, care for the sick and the lonely, & do what I can to make this world a better place.

As for those who have heard otherwise about our group or lifestyle I say what has been said many times before: come and see for yourself. Our homes & lives are open to all.
