Faith Speaks Out
Call me “sheltered” if you must, but don’t dare to call me “abused”. I have known nothing but a life of love, safety and security in the Family. Grown up in India, Pakistan the Middle East, tasted and seen a variety of cultures and backgrounds, learned to relate to many walks of life and peoples, and experienced a whole lot more than the average person my age. I’ve seen enough of the world to know what it’s like “out there”, and have in all good conscience chosen my way of life.
I moved to Thailand of my own accord to pursue a relationship with another member of the Family, and have gotten involved with the work here in Thailand. I have been part of a cultural project in Thailand, worked as a teacher in Family centers, organized households and kitchens, been on a pioneer team to start a new work in the Northeast of Thailand, and have had 2 kids on top of it.
I have a sense of purpose in my life, peace with my soul that I’m doing something to be proud of, and making a difference in the world around me. I am proud of my heritage, and want my children to partake of it. I want my children to grow up in the same safe and love-filled environment I was raised in. Of course they will come to a point where they will have to choose for themselves what path their life will take, but I know that this upbringing will only prepare them more fully for whatever they come to choose. In the mean time, I will continue to pour my life, love, heart and soul into making it the best it can be, like my own parents and teachers did for me!
It saddens me greatly when people on the other side of the planet, who have no idea what they are talking about except basing their views on what disturbed, and mentally deranged people have to say, generalize , and smear in the minds of unsuspecting people that the way I was raised was in any way wrong. If you are interested in finding out for yourselves, please, seek to clear your minds of the hype of media, and disgruntled former members, and research honestly, visit if you must, and see for yourselves that what they are saying could not even be possible. The Bible tells us to “Let all things be done in love”, and that is the mores and lifestyle we seek to live by. The Bible also clearly warns against those that bear false witness, and it can only be bad for you in the end, once people find the truth and we have been vindicated of these false allegations. If you are in any way a God-fearing person, let that be a warning to you, and if not it will only smear your reputation, degrade your character, and in the least haunt your conscience—I hope!
Faith is a second-generation member of the Family International.
