Christina Bosley Speaks Out!

My name is Christina Bosley. I am 15 years old and have been in the Family all my life. A group of people I don’t know just told me something new. They say I was abused as a child! And they say that every person of the second generation living in the Family today was also abused! And as if that’s not enough, they say that the kids living in my community today are abused. Surprise, surprise! Of course I don’t remember the said beatings, oh no, they say that I am such a brainwashed pretzel today I could never remember such a thing of my own volition.

They say that the same thing has happened to many people, I hear, since they say they were never abused. But don’t let the brainwashed pretzels fool you, dear reader! That group of people say we have warped and destroyed minds! Don’t let those pretzels fool you with their seemingly intelligent brains, their seemingly happy children, their seemingly fulfilling jobs as full-time missionaries, convincing you that they are not pretzels! Well look at the evidence! Umm lets see… the evidence… ahhh… umm…….. well just take my word for it Ladies and Gentlemen, they were! And also, these brainwashers must be deliberately erasing my memory of the numerous beatings I have given the kids I care for in the afternoons! Not only that, but these same children are only pretending to be happily playing in the park while in reality they are being, oh horror of horrors… brainwashed! Don’t ask me how they are making a 5 year-old and a 3 year-old do such things but I just know they are! You want to know how?! Umm… (I shouldn’t have said that…) Well, don’t ask, I just know it! And do you know what I’m going to do about it?! Hmm?! I’m going to give such Stephen King sized lies a really hard smack upside the head!

I live in a poor country called Guatemala. I have already proved that I have a better education than the average American because, when I went to the U.S.A. a few summers ago, most people I met didn’t know where that was. When I am out most people think that I am way older than my age because for one, I am much larger and taller than the majority of my peers outside the Family, (a fact that I say is all thanks to my healthy upbringing) and two, I can answer most questions about God they send my way. My parents have always given me a good life-style, I never had to say prayers standing on my head, I never was punished in a way that was disproportionate to the offense. At home today, I do school in the mornings, and while I am not a straight A student, I believe that bad is not the proper word for my education. In the afternoons I take care of kids, work on the home library, help clean the home, or cook. I am not forced to do any of the aforesaid jobs, I rather count them as a privilege to help out our happy, bustling community. I also am a fledgling artist, and am learning guitar. I thank God for the Family, and how through it, I can serve others and have freedom to be myself which I know through my brothers’ and sisters’ experiences outside, is not easy to find there. And to the apostate’s angry slobbering speeches I say diplomatically… “Shut up and get a freaking life! Don’t pollute the air with your stupid statements! I’m working for God and I don’t care to hear your bigoted, one sided stories that, I’m not sorry to say, make me want to puke!”. And that’s about all I have to say about that.

Christina Bosley is a second-generation member of The Family International
