What I think.

My name is Marina Akiyama, and living in The Family of Japan, and I just want to tell you of my life in the Family International (The Family). I was born and grew up in this Family throughout my whole 20 years of life. And so I can truly say that The Family is not what our apostates claim it to be, it fact it is the complete opposite, in my perspective. I know The Family as loving, considerate people who only want to serve Jesus and to win the world for Him and His Kingdom. And we young people have been taught since we were a lot younger about the Lord, the Word and other spiritual and physical truths.

And I’ve known my parents to be always loving in their communication and actions towards us of my family, and others and have only corrected us in a kind, loving and Godly, real Christian-like way. There has never been any abuses whatsoever that I have been a witness of in this Family. Of the first generation adults that I have met and know, they are the best shepherds, teachers and counselors I have ever known, and could trust. All of who are fully dedicated to Jesus and His work and teaching us of the younger generation to learn to do the same. And for that I am thankful. For they have certainly taught me a lot that has made me what I am and will become in the future of this Family—an elite soldier of Christ and fully dedicated to Him.

We have been educated and grounded in the Word as our heritage, and have been fully taught in scholastics and other educational studies. We have been given efficient school materials and time, and help. We have “in no way” been lacking for anything in that way.

I do think that to what gain that our apostates are trying to besmirch and speak lies of us, is only that because, they themselves in their compromising ways, have no other to put the blame on, for they know that we, The Family as a whole are going places and actually winning this world for Jesus and His kingdom, something that they themselves have failed in doing. And so try to put the blame all on us, trying to destroy us, our faith in the Lord, and our work for the Lord. But as they will soon see that all of their workings will come to naught, for their workings are not of the Lord, for they are trying to destroy this Family that I love and hold dear. I am here because I want to be here, and because I know that this is the Perfect place to be.
