Suzy Bosley Speaks Out!

First of all I’d like to say I’m proud to be a part of this Family.

Every article that I read on this site has reconfirmed in my mind how privileged I am to be a part of this revolutionary movement. When I heard about the situation with Ricky and Angela I was shocked and deeply saddened. I had the opportunity to meet Angela a couple of months ago and the first thing that impressed me about her was her smile; gorgeous, sweet and friendly and the way that she was always going out of her way to help others. It was hard for me to believe that this wonderful person, had been so brutally murdered by someone who had known her so well. And then to hear her, as well as Mama and Peter, so blatantly slandered by the ex-members was almost more than I could believe. I also had the privilege to meet Mama and Peter recently and I was able to spend some time talking with Mama and getting to know her. The main thing I can say about Mama is that I have never met anyone who lived and breathed the Word as much as she did. She was always stopping to chat with us or say something sweet or give us a hug. And to hear the way the apostates talk about her is just so maddening to me.

I’d also like to say that in all my 17 years here in the Family International I have never once been abused, treated badly or anything of the sort. To the contrary I have always felt the love and support of my mom and those I’ve lived with. I have had an excellent education, one I could never complain of and I now think of myself as a fully functional, educated and competent young person. In my time in the Family I have had opportunity to learn cooking, secretarial skills, Spanish, 3D art and graphics, piano, guitar, dancing, childcare, computer skills along with normal academic studies. The Homes I’ve lived in have always ensured that I had everything I needed, including time off and sufficient time to keep up with my academic and vocational studies. All I can say is to hell with the apostates and their lies, I live here and I know what it’s like. I know the Family has made mistakes, I know people have been hurt and I’m sorry for them and what they’ve felt but everyone has the choice to forgive and forget. The Family has apologized and tried to make amends numerous times and all those people who are still bitter, well it’s their fault. I love the ex-members with all my heart, I have seven older brothers and sisters and numerous friends that have left the Family and I pray for them everyday, it’s just that I’ve made my decision and they’ve made theirs.

But I cannot condone, tolerate or befriend those people who threaten my way of life, my religious rights and those of my younger sisters and parents. Those who wish to do the Family harm should take into account the many dedicated and sold-out Family young people who will not just submit meekly to these threats that strike directly at our beliefs and our way of life, the deciding of which is, by the way, our right, granted by the constitution. May God have mercy on your souls.

Suzy Bosley is a second-generation member of The Family International
