My name is Fiorella Giordano Mackinnon. I’m 24 yrs old, almost born into The Family (my Mom joined The Family when I was 2 ½ yrs old). I’m married and have a 1 yr old son.

Being raised in The Family was the best thing that could have happened to me and I thank God every day of my life that I’m having the opportunity to raise my son in it too.

As most kids in The Family, I learned to read and write at an early age, had a wonderful upbringing in loving environments that we call “Homes”, with loving people and teachers who gave me the best training they could, I loved moving and traveling, and by the age of 14 had lived in four different countries and was fluent in three languages.

Now, speaking to those of you who are saying a bunch of crap about us, if what I just mentioned sounds like “abused” or “deprived” to you, then there’s something seriously wrong with you. I’m proud of it and I know it’s a childhood that many would envy and would have loved to have.

Sure, life anywhere, is not a bed of roses and I had my share of hard times growing up, at the hand of people that are no longer in The Family, but I got over it, forgave them in my heart and kept on with my life.

I know also for a fact that Maria and Peter wrote a letter asking for forgiveness on behalf of anyone that could have done anything wrong in the past, especially to us young people, and well, if you missed it and didn’t read it, so sorry!
Besides being raised in The Family and being a mother myself, I’m a teacher in the Home I live in, and a member of the Childcare committee in my city, so I think I know what I’m talking about when I talk about kids being raised in The Family. I take very seriously (as does so every parent and teacher in the Family) the care, education and training I give to the kids I take care of, and try, to the best of my ability, to pass them what was taught to me by my parents and teachers in the Family, that of a healthy fear of God and love and respect for others regardless of their background, religion, race, etc.

I don’t say we’re perfect, but who is? Tell me of a society that is perfect in raising their kids, certainly not yours!!!
I’ve heard some of your comments regards Ricky’s murder of Angela and his suicide, it sounded like you support and promote it! Is that what you’ll teach your kids??? Revenge, vengeance, hate and MURDER??? And you say WE influenced Ricky. That it was because of his upbringing? I’m sorry but anyone that reads your site could almost say that you guys got him into doing it! Or at least influenced him the wrong way for these last four years!

What are you guys trying to do anyways???
- Get revenge for things you didn’t like or agree with that happened to you in the past? (That by the way have been apologized for.) Smart people don’t let those things stop them. And I’m sorry but you guys seem anything but “moving on” with your lives, you seem more like www.“stuck in the past”.com to me.
- Get other young people to leave the Family and join you?

Well, good try, but we’re staying right here. Know that we’ll stand by our first generation no matter what you have to say about them or anything they might have done. I know they’re not perfect but neither will I be with my kid. I do know though that they tried their best to raise us in a Godly manner, just like I will try my best.
I also know that they (starting with Father David, Maria and Peter) had (and still have) the humility and willingness to change anything that didn’t work out for the sake, and safekeeping, of their children, the 2nd generation, and now the 3rd generation.

My hat goes off to them and I can only pray that I’ll be at least half as good as they were to me, and to all the others 2nd generation of the Family.

And to you, all I can pray is “Father forgive them for they know not what they do”, but unfortunately you do “know what you’re doing”.

And remember YOU`RE MINORITY.
