Nothing Stopping Us

My name is Steven, I’m 20 years old and was born in the Family International. I’m sending this to you, as a young person having grown up in the family, expressing my feelings on the Family.

What’s most important to me is nothing more than to share the great upbringing I’ve received in the Family. The older I grow and the more I learn and look around, the more I realize how much I’ve gained.

I’m happy with who I am, even with all my imperfections and shortcomings.

The Family’s brought out the best in me.

I have natural tendencies towards violence, fighting, and anger. As a pre-teen I was obsessed with everything from war to violent computer games, guns etc. and if not for my life in the Family who knows where it would’ve led.

My natural way of being is so far from being someone easy to work with. As a teen I argued, defied, and refused all those in authority. Upon occasion members of my Home actually moved out because I was too difficult to live with.

I can really say the Word of God and principles we’re taught in the Family have given me what I needed to change and helped me get there, it’s given me the desire to be a better person and do something to help those around me.

I love the Family. I believe in all it stands for and nothing’s going to stop our progress.

Steven Palumbo is a second-generation member of the Family International.
