Melissa Johnson Speaks Out!
From Melissa Johnson, 21, Mexico.
Second generation member of the Family International
To all you who are trying to defeat our work and the Family: The Lord is using you for His purpose, whether you like it or not!! As a result, we are as a “city set on a hill, which cannot be hid”, and you’d better bet your britches that we’re gonna use the opportunity to “let our lights so shine before men” that they may see our good works and glorify our Father which is in Heaven! Because He deserves all the credit for anything good that we have accomplished individually, and as a group!! So chew on that!!!!!! The Lord can still use you! Ha!
My name is Melissa Johnson. I am 21 years old. I have a wonderful little family with just one daughter so far (my pride and joy), but she is such a handful, and such a darling that even with just one we still have our work cut out. We are fulltime volunteer missionaries in Mexico, including our little one who I think is one of our biggest witnesses. Our children in the Family are amazing; every last one of them is talented and well-behaved, which is proof of their wonderful upbringing.
I wanted to add to the voices that are speaking out. Take it from us who know! The Family is like a little bit of Heaven on Earth, not only to those of us living in the group, but for those that we minister to as well.
I have had a wonderful childhood and life in the Family. My parents are the most amazing people in the entire world!! Sure I’ve had difficulties, but roses don’t come without thorns. Basically all I want to say and more has been written over and over through the awesome contributions already posted on this site. All those who sent in stuff; it’s been just amazing reading your articles and being reminded of the wonderful Family we have. Love you all! And by the way, bro, you and the team that set up this site totally ROCK!
To all our former members who have sent in stuff, you guys are wonderful too! God bless you for all you’re doing for the Lord! We’re all a team and we all need each other to win the World!
And lastly, I wanted to write my sympathy for all those who can’t seem to put aside their bitterness, hatred and misery. Seriously, you guys have my prayers! I know what it’s like to be negative, I experience negative thoughts as well … yep, I’m human too! When I dwell on them I’m totally miserable, and quite frankly nobody seems to like me very much when I’m like that either.
But here’s just a little quote that might get you thinking: “The world is full of beauty when the heart is full of love.”
And I know you may be a little too familiar with this one but it’s true that “Jesus, and Others, then You—spells JOY!”

And I also thought that this one described you to a T: “Many of our cares are but a morbid way of looking at our privileges. We let our blessings get moldy, and then call them curses.”
So James Penn, Danielle Roselle, apostates and anyone else who is bitter and can’t get a life, if I were you, I’d stop wasting my time and energy on trying to destroy a work of God and find something more realistic. After all, according to the Bible, you’re doomed for defeat, because “If God before us, who can be against us?” Just hope you’ll put your mind to something that you might be able to succeed at.
