I am a current second generation member of the highly publicized group The Family International. I am 27 years old, and mother to a beautiful 2 year-old daughter. I can open a bank account, I can write a check, I know how to use public transportation. I consider myself well adapted to the world around me though I have lived my entire life in this group. I have traveled the world, lived on 3 continents in 8 countries, visiting many more.

My current job description includes- professional layout, chairing our local Education Board, teaching my daughter, and the list goes on. My daughter is learning to read, she is half way through her current reading program, loves her animals, can name hundreds of them by sight, enjoys dressing up like Mary the mother of Jesus and so much more.

I speak as a mother and for all the mothers that I know in our group. There is no way that I or any of the mothers I know would allow any of the kind of atrocities that you are displaying on your show this afternoon to happen to our children. I am overprotective by nature and if I thought there was even the slightest hint of a possibility of such horror being encountered by my daughter I would not hesitate to use whatever measures were at my disposal to put a stop to it before it even began. That you would dare suggest that I would knowingly or unknowingly allow my daughter to be subjected to any kind of abuse for any reason whatsoever is despicable.

Forgive me for my choice of words but I feel very strongly on this. Not only has my childhood and life thereafter been wonderful but so has the lives of all those I have lived and known in the many, many different places I have lived.

I know for a fact that my daughter is safe, happy and healthy in my care and the care of those I live with, the only cause for worry I currently have is the trouble you seem to be bent on starting through the lies you feel the need to spread as you air your show today.

I do pray that those in the Law enforcement agency have more sense and will research first and act after as it seems you are incapable of doing.

I have said my piece, I hope in the future you will take the time to listen to the hundreds of second generation members, like myself, still active in the group and that you will attempt to balance your bias with the truth.
